Sandmartins

Another large cottage with an airy and light open plan living area. French doors open out onto a private, sunny patio which is perfect for barbecuing and al fresco eating.

There are 4 bedrooms in Sandmartins:

Upstairs: Two pretty double rooms, both with en suite shower rooms plus a bunks room with another bathroom close by.

Downstairs: A comfortable double bedroom with en suite wet room, also suitable for those with mobility problems.

The kitchen has everything you will need for your holiday catering and includes a gas rayburn and hob plus microwave plus all our standard fixtures and fittings.

This cottage can be opened up on the ground floor to link through to Haypole Barn next door, creating a 16 person holiday barn.

Kingfisher Cottage

Another adaptable property, this cottage offers superb accommodation for up to 5 people.

The living area of this cottage is open plan with a cheerful red gas rayburn making the country style kitchen very welcoming and of course there are all the other kitchen items you would expect to find as well, including a gas hob and microwave.

Country style furnishings, soft leather sofas, rugs on the polished wood floor, all arranged around a woodburner add up to the promise of cosy evenings in, whatever the season.

Being on one level, and with two entrances, one via steps through the small private garden and balcony and the other from a separate level parking area, Kingfisher Cottage is disabled friendly, including for wheelchairs.

Kingfisher Cottage has two bedrooms; the master bedroom has a king sized bed. The second bedroom has two single beds on the lower level with a third single bed on the mezzanine level above. Serious family negotiating often takes place when deciding who will sleep up-top!!

The large Victorian style bathroom has a massive vintage cast iron bath and a wet room type shower. Bespoke leaded and stained glass windows, made by a local craftsman, add to the individuality of this cottage as do the traces of its former use as the farm stables. The harness hangers are still set into the walls and the original polished oak tack cupboard makes a wonderful wardrobe!

Haypole Barn

Haypole Barn is our largest holiday barn, it is full of charm with deep squishy leather sofas, warm rugs on the slate floor underfoot and a genuine cartwheel (once used on this farm) forms a rustic chandelier overhead.

The inspiration for the name of this cottage is the Hay Pole, now a decoration in the living room, but was used by Great Grandfather to lift hay to the top of the rick in the farm yard in days of old.

In the well equipped country kitchen you will find everything needed to cater for a holiday, including a gas fired rayburn and separate hob and an american style fridge freezer.

This cottage has a minstrels gallery and secret windows looking down on the living room which children love to peek through.

There are 4 bedrooms.

Upstairs: Two bedrooms with king sized beds and en suite shower rooms, plus a bunks room with nearby bathroom.

Downstairs: Large bedroom with twin beds and en suite wet room, also suitable for those with mobility problems, including wheelchair users.

Meals outside and barbecues are an enjoyable part of any holiday and the patio with views across the valley is ideally equipped for this purpose.
